Durham Region Non-Profit Housing Corporation (DRNPHC) is a social housing provider that owns and manages more than 1100 apartment and townhouse rental units at 19 sites across Durham Region in the Province of Ontario. The purpose of this website is to provide general information about the Corporation, its policies, operations, and mission as part of an overall communication strategy for all of our stakeholders.

Tenant Services

Tenant Services is responsible for updating and maintaining DASH’s waiting list and attending to the information needs of RGI and market applicants, marketing units and supporting resident involvement. This information and support service continues when an applicant becomes a resident.

The Tenant Services Division also maintains numerous links to different community-based services such as: Children’s Services Council, Children’s Aid Society, the Public Health Department, Durham Regional Police, Oshawa & Clarington Association for Community Living, Canadian Mental Health Association, North Durham Interagency, Family and Communication Action Project, both the separate and public Durham School Boards, the Barbara Black Centre for Youth, the Fire Departments, Placement Co-ordination Services, Community Care, Brownies, Girl Guides, YWCA, etc.

 

Housing Operations

The Housing Operations Division is responsible for day to day operations and asset management of the Corporations housing projects, which includes administration of residential tenancy as well as all aspects of maintenance including capital improvements.

Corporation Property Managers and on-site Superintendents work closely with residents base to keep standards and level of service high but at the same time exercise fiscal responsibility within our budgetary controls.

 

Finance

The Finance Division provides support to other divisions through collection of rents, payment of suppliers, budgeting and financial statement preparation, etc.
