Please follow this procedure when requesting repairs:
- Obtain a Request for Repairs form from the area designated
at your site or you can download a copy
here.
If the supply of forms there is depleted, please
notify your Superintendent who will provide you with a form
and replenish the supply. If you are unaware of where to obtain
a form, please call your Superintendent who will be pleased
to direct you.
- Complete all the information on the form to the best of
your knowledge. Be as specific as possible about the problem.
Be sure to note the date of your request and your phone number
and sign the form.
- Keep the pink copy for your own records for follow up. If
you have downloaded a copy of the form you
should take a copy, for your records, and submit the original
to the Superintendent.
- Submit the other two copies to the Superintendent for action.
We request that you follow this procedure rather than simply
making a verbal request to the Superintendent, Property Manager
or Head Office. In the course of a busy day, some items mentioned
in passing may be overlooked.
Please note, by signing this form you are authorizing
staff to enter your unit to investigate your request and complete
repairs if able, even if you are not home. If you
require notice prior to entry, please note such
a requirement on the Request for Repair form.
Requests for repairs are prioritized with the most urgent
being addressed first. Some repairs cannot be completed by your
Superintendent and require scheduling of either our maintenance
person or outside contractor. Additionally, parts or materials
may need to be ordered for the repair to be completed. All these
circumstances may affect the time period in which your repair
is completed. Repairs that can be completed by your Superintendent
should be addressed within three days of receipt of the Request
for Repair form. If you have not heard from your Superintendent
in that time period, please call him/her and ask for the status
of your request for repairs. Our objective is to provide you
with prompt, courteous and professional service. If we are not
meeting this objective, we would like to hear from you.
If your repair is an emergency , such as
loss of heat, hydro or flood, you should telephone your Superintendent.
If you get the answering machine, please leave a message. If
you do not receive a return call within fifteen minutes, you
should call the Head Office (905-436-6610) for a 24-hour response.
