of tenant space, including the requirements for

yard, balconies and common areas; and garbage and

Pet Guidelines (included
in the Housekeeping policy) - sets out pet responsibilities with respect to ownership
and is provided at the time of lease signing . A
pet can be a rewarding addition to any family. By being a responsible
pet owner, for example keeping your pet properly leashed at all
times when outside your unit and cleaning up after your pet regularly,
you will ensure other residents, some who do not
wish to have a pet, do not have their tenancies adversely affected
by the presence of your pet. To ensure your own tenancy is not
jeopardized, it is essential you, your family members and guests
comply with the guidelines.
Fire Safety Policy - outlines the responsibilities of staff with respect to Fire Code requirements and the inspection and testing requirements of the various components of fire safety equipment, e.g. smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. Tenants moving into buildings with fire alarm systems, i.e. apartment buildings, are provided with a copy of the Tenant Evacuation Process for their particular building at the time of lease signing,. A sample has not been included attached policy. For those residents who have misplaced their copy, an additional copy can be obtained by requesting same from your Property Manager.
Key Control - The Corporation is responsible for the safety and security of its staff and residents. The Corporation’s responsibilities, to this end, are outlined and referred to in numerous legislative documents including, but not restricted to, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, the Tenant Protection Act, the Fire Code, local by-laws and various regulations pertaining to specific components of the properties. The Corporation has developed policies and procedures to ensure all responsibilities are addressed as required.
Unit Alterations - Tenants occasionally wish to effect changes to the interior and/or exterior of their units for various reasons. They may wish to alter their unit to better reflect their style, taste or preference or to accommodate physical limitations. Per each tenant’s lease agreement, tenants wishing to make alterations to their units must submit a written request to the Corporation specifying the proposed alteration. Alterations cannot be undertaken without the written permission of the Corporation.
